Versatile Long-term Rust Preventive
Pro-Tek Shield is a long term self-healing solvent-based corrosion inhibitor with excellent outdoor long term protection and extreme salt spray protection. This water displacing product is a very low viscous fluid that upon application and carrier fluid evaporation leaves a hard waxy coating for extreme protection.
Pro-Tek Shield is marketed with four-year outdoor protection; however, in practice many applications have shown almost indefinite coating protection. This solvent-based rust and corrosion preventative fluid has a unique ability to self-heal assures that even if some of the coating becomes compromised the coating will re-cover and protect that region.
Most common application techniques with Pro-Tek Shield include brushing, and part immersion. Using a suitable sprayer is also a technique used however care should be taken due to the product's relatively low flash point. This low flash point does provide excellent quick dry properties which are desired by most customers using Pro-Tek Shield.

Applications & Usage
Apply product as is by brush or sprayer to all surfaces needing protection. Pay particular attention to cracks and crevices. Apply additional coats for added storage time and protection. Drying time is influenced by temperature, relative humidity and air circulation. Remove product with solvent or alkaline cleaner.
