VP 950P

Synthetic Machining Coolants

VP 950P is a non-ferrous synthetic coolant. Due to the "softness" of aluminum relative to steel, different raw materials are needed to be used to make a synthetic suitable for aluminum machining and grinding.  This synthetic coolant can work on essentially any alloy in the marketplace however its properties are focused on the machining of aluminum and grinding of metals softer than steel.

Applications & Usage

VP-950P is a synthetic metal removal fluid concentrate meant to be extended in water.

A starting concentration of 3.0% - 8.0% is recommended for most metal removaloperations. Optimal concentrations may vary depending on the particular alloy.

Always add VP-950P to water. To reduce use and optimize performance, it is best topre-mix with water prior to filling the fluid system or adding make-up.

A calibrated refractometer should be used to determine the fluid concentration. Todetermine the concentration, use the following formula: Concentration (%) = %Brix (Refractive Index) x 2.0 (RI Multiplier)

VP-950P is engineered to perform well on difficult multi-point metal removal operations such as: milling, turning, drilling, reaming, boring, sawing, and grinding. Metal Compatibility*: Steel, Cast Iron, Stainless Steel, Titanium, Inconel, Aluminum, Copper, Brass

*Fluid compatibility and machinability should always be tested first; as fluid concentration, metalalloy, and machining operation are variable.
